Big league win for Minors ahead of Championship
With the Seniors and Reserves taking on Craigbane on Sunday night in the league, our Minors returned to the north Derry venue a day later on Monday 26th July for their first game in over a month. Three points a piece from Ryan Tohill and Enda McNally, and a goal from Cathal McGurk, saw Greenlough take an early lead and were well ahead at the break as their opposition only managed a single score in the opening half. Half-Time: Craigbane 0-01 Greenlough 1-06 Despite conceding a goal, Greenlough replied with three more of their own, with a second for Cathal McGurk and one each for Ryan Tohill and Enda McNally. Ryan added another two points, to go with one each from Christopher Mellon, Sean Tohill, Christopher Bradley and Enda McNally, ensuring an eighteen point victory for the St Oliver Plunkett boys, and keeping them in the running for a play-off place.
